Youth Corner

Calling our youth parishioners! Experience the greatness of God the Father and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, through a blend of spiritual, service, and social activities. Meet other young parishioners like you and build lifetime friendships, as we continue in this faith-filled community we call the Catholic Church.

Do not be content to live a mediocre LIFE.

Walk with determination along the path of HOLINESS.

God’s Love.

God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

The Holy Spirit guides us.

Let us be guided by the Holy Spirit. Allow him to speak to our hearts and he will tell us this: GOD IS LOVE.

Children’s Christmas Eve Mass

Our CCD kids brought the Nativity of Jesus to life, by re-enacting the Gospel story of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ during the youth-led Christmas Eve mass at 4:30 pm. This was followed by a wonderful Homily by Deacon Rich to all the kids of our community.

Thank you to our CCD kids who did a great job playing the key roles of the Nativity Scene!
"Mary" - Aliyah Benet
"Joseph" - Ethan Cheng
"First Angel" - Amelia Schoenstein
"Shepherds" -  Hunter Brady, Hector and Gael Ovando Cisneros
"Multitude of Angels" - Amarah Benet, Anya and Zara Brady,  Helena Schoenstein

And thank you to their parents for their encouragement and support!

Our special thanks also goes out to the Youth Music Ministry who delighted parishioners with Christmas carols and sung beautifully during the mass.

Christmas Card Drive for Incarcerated Persons in SF County Jails

During the Advent Season, our CCD and Youth students created more than a hundred handmade Christmas Cards for the Christmas Card Drive for Incarcerated Persons in SF County Jails. This program is also called the “Cards of Mercy”, as it is a way to reach out to those in prison with messages of kindness and love. As stated on our Archdiocesan website, “This action is one way to live the Works of Mercy…”. Through these letters, our incarcerated sisters and brothers will know that they are not forgotten and that God’s love and mercy extend to them.”

Altar Server Recognition

We thank our altar servers for their service and dedication, and, their parents for their support and commitment. Our thanks too to Deacon Richard Dizon who heads the Altar Server ministry and Flora Lee-Chan who is the Ministry Coordinator.

CCD & Youth Confirmation Mass and Fellowship Lunch Celebrated at St. Mark

We had our CCD & Youth Confirmation Year End Mass and Fellowship Lunch last Sunday May 7, 2023. It was a wonderful year for our classes, and it was great celebrating with all our families and parishioners in St. Mark! We had a big crowd of over 100 people! We also had a short recognition ceremony, to acknowledge all of our CCD and Youth Confirmation students who have completed their classes this school year. Congratulations to all our students!

Thanks to all our CCD and Youth Confirmation families for gathering together on this occasion, and for all your support. Thanks to all our parishioners who came to celebrate with us. Thanks to our Hospitality Ministry (led by Tina, Lily, and Ken), for helping to set up, and prepare our food for us (thanks too to the Knights of Columbus for helping with the set up the night before). Thanks to all our Catechists for devoting their time and efforts to teaching our faith to our kids. And thanks to our Pastor Fr. Angel for his care and support for all of our programs!
