Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
As Jesus wants us to spend time with Him, we too have needs, hurts, joys, and sorrows that we want to share only with Our Lord and Savior. By coming to Adoration we give Jesus great honor and act with humility by acknowledging our need for, and dependence upon Him – our Creator.
During Adoration, a Consecrated Host is placed in the center of a sacred vessel called a Monstrance. The word Monstrance means “to show.” The Monstrance is then set in a very special place for all to see and worship.
Join us in Adoration … a quiet time spent in prayer before Jesus.
Adoration Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the St. Mark Chapel
Do you want to be an Adorer? If you are interested in participating at least one hour every week in Adoration, let us know by signing up after the masses on Sundays or by contacting us at (650) 591-5937 or office@saintmarkbelmont.com. We still have available time slots to fill up!
“Could you not watch one hour with me?” - Matthew 26:40
Vocation Cross Program
“The harvest is rich, but there are few laborers to gather it in. Beg the Lord of the Harvest to send laborers into the harvest.” – Matthew 9:37-38
Update: More than ever, we need to pray for religious and priestly vocations. We are launching the Vocation Cross Program at the Saturday 4:30 pm Masses, in addition to the 9:45 am Masses.
Parishioners will take turns in bringing the Vocation Cross home. Those who take the Cross will pray each day, the Vocation Prayer and the Rosary.
The sign up sheets for the corresponding mass time are in the church. We encourage all families to participate in this program. Matt Lucett has graciously accepted the role of coordinating the program. If you have any questions, please contact Matt at mlucett@saintmarkbelmont.com
