Marriage

“The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.”

Marriage information for our Church

Because marriage is both a vocation (a calling from God) and a sacrament, special gifts and graces are given to the couple entering Matrimony. Participants enter into the sacrament of Matrimony with the intention that their union will be permanent, faithful, and fruitful.

Congratulations on your decision to marry! It is the most important decision, one that will profoundly influence your whole future. God, Himself is the author of your newly chosen vocation.

We will help you throughout your preparation for your marriage. In keeping with Diocesan regulations, there must be six months of preparations before the Marriage date.

For pre-marital instructions, contact Fr. Angel Quitalig, Pastor of St. Mark Catholic Church, through the Parish Office at (650) 591-5937 or email aquitalig@gmail.com, six months in advance of your desired marriage date.
