Confirmation Program

"Remember, then, that you received a spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear. Keep safe what you received. God the Father sealed you, Christ the Lord strengthened you and sent the Spirit into your hearts as the pledge of what is to come."

— St. Ambrose

Youth Confirmation Preparation Classes at St. Mark

Youth Confirmation Preparation Classes are designed to help young individuals deepen their understanding of their faith and prepare them for the Sacrament of Confirmation, as part of the Sacraments of Initiation in our Catholic Church. These classes typically focus on teaching the fundamental beliefs and doctrines of the faith, exploring the history and traditions of the church, and fostering a personal connection with spirituality. The primary purpose of these classes is to empower young people to make a conscious and informed commitment to their religious beliefs, affirming their faith, and to actively engage in our community. It is our hope to help our youth develop a strong foundation for their lifelong journey of faith.

Our Confirmation Classes are open to all High School teens, and is a 2-year preparation process. Regular Schedule of Confirmation Classes - Sundays, 4:00-5:30 pm

Be a part of our Youth Ministry!

The St. Mark Youth Group is for high school and middle school youth who desire to grow in their faith while also building communal connections.

Through a blend of spiritual, service, and social activities, teens are encouraged to experience the awesomeness of God the Father and to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

By way of monthly Youth Masses, the teens participate in all aspects of the Celebration of the Mass by serving as lectors, ushers, gift bearers, and Eucharistic ministers. Monthly Faith Sharing meetings allow the teens to talk openly regarding spiritual, moral, ethical or even secular-based issues and explore God’s direction and purpose for their lives.

Other Youth Group activities: Christmas Shopping for Catholic Worker House, Souper Bowl of Caring Collection Fundraiser and Donation, St. Vincent de Paul Homeless Help Center volunteering.

Why join the Youth Group?

It can be tough out there on our own. In our hearts, we know we are called to love others and be faithful to God’s word – but it’s not easy. Not everyone defines love the same way. Jesus said, “Love consists in this – laying down one’s life for a friend.”

Every day, there are caring adults and other teens who lay down their lives for us – by giving us their attention, time, prayers, and friendship.

No one is perfect, but our God is – and He is always there for us. God calls us to love, forgive, be patient, and make a difference. He calls us to do this together as His Church. Friendships made in youth ministry groups can grow into lifetime friendships as we continue in this faith-filled community we call the Catholic Church.
